Ahh the Roundel.

You know it's quite a funny thing. The Stainsby Hill estate upon which I grew up has a very definate north and south divide. My Dad (David Atkinson) who is a pure bread 'Stainsby Southener' dislikes this pub as he has always believed that in order to get served quickly one needed to be part of a 'click' as he has always called it. This lends a lot of water to my 'division' theory if nothing else.

When I was in my earlier years I did spend some interesting nights in there with my friends Chris Summers,(he was once shot at from a window of one of those flats pictured below) Paul Robinson,Amy Patterson, Phill Rigby, Phil Whitfield, Claire Rodgers and Lisa Jones. Only one of these guys was a Stainsby Northener BTW. Two others were just on the cusp.

The Southener's watering hole is the 'Odd Fellows' BTW. DOH! I just gave another one away. OK there's two to get you started.
